Rules for vendors
- Your listings must be accurate and up to date (pricing, availability, description).
- The displayed price must match the actual price offered — unjustified price increases after contact are prohibited.
- You must respond to contact requests within 48 business hours.
- Once a quote is accepted and the deposit received, you are committed to delivering the service.
- Circumventing the platform to avoid the commission fee (e.g. requesting direct payment after first contact via Mariez) is prohibited.
- Any vendor failing to comply may be suspended without notice.
Rules for couples
- You must provide accurate information about your event (date, venue, type).
- Sending bulk requests without genuine intent to book is prohibited.
- One account per person — duplicate accounts will be removed.
Commission and service fees
- Mariez charges a commission of 5% on each deposit paid through the platform.
- This commission is automatically deducted at the time of payout to the vendor.
- Example: for a $500 CAD deposit, the vendor receives $475, Mariez retains $25.
- No additional fees are charged to the couple.
Refund policy (Terms of Sale)
The deposit paid is non-refundable once the quote is accepted and payment confirmed.
Exception 1 — Vendor cancellation: if the vendor cancels the service, the deposit is refunded in full automatically.
Exception 2 — Request within 24 hours:a refund request made within 24 hours of payment may be processed at Mariez's discretion (via our contact page).
Funds are held on the platform account for 7 days before being transferred to the vendor. Any dispute must be reported via our contact page during this period.
After the payout, no automatic refund is possible — disputes are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Disputes and moderation
- All disputes must be reported via our contact page within 30 days of the event.
- Mariez reserves the right to suspend any account for abusive behaviour.
- Mariez's decision regarding discretionary refunds is final.
Limitation of liability
- Mariez acts solely as a technical intermediary connecting couples and vendors. Mariez is not a party to the contract formed between them.
- Mariez does not guarantee and assumes no responsibility for the performance, quality, conformity, delays, cancellations, no-shows, or damages related to a service.
- Any dispute relating to a service is the sole responsibility of the couple and the vendor involved; it is for them to resolve it between themselves.
- Mariez's role is limited to facilitating the connection and the technical processing of payments (sections 3 and 4). Any discretionary refund does not constitute an admission of liability.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, should Mariez's liability ever be established, it is limited to the amount of the commission actually collected on the transaction concerned.
