Terms of Use

Mariez provides web-based wedding planning tools including guest management, budget tracking, task lists, vendor notes, collaboration features and public wedding pages. Features and limits vary by plan — free and paid plans are available.

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of legal majority in your province, to use Mariez.
• Your account information must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
• You must notify us immediately at support@mariez.ca if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not use Mariez to:

• Post or transmit illegal, hateful or discriminatory content.
• Harass, threaten or intimidate other users.
• Distribute spam, malware or unauthorized automated scripts.
• Circumvent security measures, rate limits or plan restrictions.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Scrape or extract data from the platform without written authorization.
• Conduct unauthorized commercial activities using the service.
• Take any action that disrupts or degrades service for other users.

You retain ownership of all wedding information, photos and content you add to Mariez. You grant Mariez a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display and transmit your content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for obtaining any consents required to enter third-party data (such as guest contact details). Mariez claims no ownership rights over your content.

• Paid plans are billed annually in Canadian dollars (CAD).
• Applicable provincial and federal taxes are added at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice before your next renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — access continues until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time. If a free trial is offered, cancelling before the trial ends will prevent any charge.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Mariez may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation. After account deletion or termination, your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted, except billing records which are kept for 7 years to meet Canadian tax obligations.

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. We may modify, limit or discontinue features, and will provide 30 days' notice for material changes. Updates to these terms also take effect 30 days after notification by email.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without express or implied warranties of accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Quebec and Canada.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mariez's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amounts you paid during the twelve months preceding the claim. Mariez is not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive losses. Certain consumer rights under Quebec law cannot be waived and are not affected by this clause.

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec. In the event of a conflict between the French and English versions of these terms, the French version prevails.
